Simone’s recent work explores ‘Transition’ and questions the processes by which something undergoes a change and passes from one state into another. She focuses on the vessel and the many forms that they may take. All of her work goes through many stages and is transformed after each one. Some of her pieces have clear bodies inside a clear shape, in these artworks the body is echoed through shadows and light while in others she has transcend the human form. She uses the translucency of the glass to create a dialogue about the transitional state in which we exist. She hopes to record a moment in time and the stillness before change.
